Looking for a super simple flag craft? We had fun with these craft stick flags for the 4th of July!
Make the Flag Craft
(affiliate links included below)
- 6 craft sticks
- red paint (white, too, if you want to have white stripes)
- glue
- star stickers
- blue paper
- scissors
Cut a rectangle of blue paper the size of 5 craft sticks placed next to each other to be the backing for the flag. Cut a smaller rectangle to be the field of stars.
Paint three of the craft sticks red. After they dry, glue the craft sticks to the paper, alternating red and plain sticks. Glue the blue rectangle onto the top left. Glue the remaining craft stick onto the back of the flag, so it can be held and waved.
If the waving gets too energetic, you might find (as we did) that staples are necessary to keep the flag onto its flag pole!
