Paper plate crafts are easy to set up and fun to make! We especially love to make animals, like this paper plate bunny, because adding googly eyes to anything guarantees success!
- 2 paper plates
- 2 googly eyes
- pink paint
- black pipe cleaner
One paper plate will be the bunny’s face, and the other will become the ears. To make the ears, simply cut the plate in half, and then staple the 2 halves to the intact plate. Cover the plates with glue, and then stick the cotton balls all over the glue.
To make the ears, just paint pink over the cotton balls in the center of each ear.
To make the nose, paint 2 cotton balls pink (painting the cotton balls is usually the messiest part for us!), and glue them to the center of the bunny face. Then glue the pipecleaner “whiskers” on – we did 3 whiskers on each side, and each whisker was half of a pipecleaner.
Add the googly eyes (my favorite part! I just love googly eyes!) above the nose. To make the mouth, bend 2 pieces of pipecleaner, and glue them on.
This is a fun (and easy!) craft to pull out for playdates – especially around Spring or Easter! And for another fun paper plate craft, check out the bunny puppet over at Coffee Cups & Crayons!
