Red, white, and blue fruit sculptures are both a fun 4th of July activity and a healthy kids snack! Plus they are very easy to set up. I sliced strawberries and bananas, and put them out in bowls along with blueberries and toothpicks. And then let the kids create!
Going with the patriotic theme, they decided that their structures are George Washington and his soldiers, and their boat they rowed across the Delaware River.
One tip – the strawberries and bananas can be too heavy for the toothpicks to keep standing up straight, so you may want to slice your fruit smaller than we did.
Have fun – and happy 4th of July!
