These bunny pancakes were a hit with my kids. They didn’t take long to make, and they add in some extra fruit! These are especially fun in the spring or near Easter.
Making Bunny Pancakes
- 2 pancakes
- 2-3 strawberries
- 4 dried cherries (or raisins)
- 2 bananas
Use your favorite pancake recipe to make pancakes.
Bunny face: Cut a strawberry in half for the nose, and use 2 dried cherries (or raisins) for the eyes. Cut small rectangular pieces of banana to be whiskers.
Bunny ears: To add the ears, slice a banana in half, length-wise. Then cut each slice into 2, down the middle. I rounded the top of the slices, and used them as the base of the ears. Chop up about 1 strawberry, and use it as the pink part inside the bunny’s ears.
That’s it! It only added a couple minutes to making the pancakes, and the kids were thrilled to see the bunny faces on their plates!
We also added in a few of our favorite bunny-themed books (affiliate links below):
Quiet Bunny: Little bunny is looking for his sound to join in with the other animals in the night song.
Knuffle Bunny: A Cautionary Tale: This tale of bringing a toddler – and her favorite bunny – to a laundromat never fails to get a smile from my kids!
Pat the Bunny : What can I say? It’s a classic touch and feel board book for a reason!
