Toddlers love sorting. This color sorting busy bag has lots of bright colors and fun touchable objects — everything you need for an activity sure to please your toddler!.
Plus, this busy bag is simple to make. Just look around your craft supplies to get objects of the same colors. Look for things with different textures and sizes.

Grab your objects to sort. We had pompoms and craft feathers in many of the same colors, so that’s what I used. You could also use crayons, big erasers – really try whatever you have!
Then paint white paper plates to match each color grouping. I cut the bottom of the plate out, so we had several discs to play the game with.
Play with your Color Sorting Bag
Set up the circles for your toddler. As you get the objects out, talk about the colors and the textures and sizes.
Let them play and sort and stack. They may like to search for all the same objects of the same color, and place them on their circle. Or they may choose one object at a time to place on each circle. Or they may try to put a whole bunch of different colored objects on one circle. There’s no wrong way to play!
I gathered it all into a bag, so we can (and have!) take it on the go. My toddler has used it while waiting for appointments, and while watching his older brother’s taekwondo lesson!
