To display kid’s art, we use the wall heading down the stairs. The bright colors of the artwork helps brighten up a dark stairway, and it gives me an easy location for hanging all the art they create!
I took a long time trying to find a place to display the art – our refrigerator had overlapping creations pretty much falling off every time anyone walked past; I would put the art down where ever it was created (or dried), meaning to find a place for it…and then leaving it there.
We came up with a simple solution!

Choose where you want to hang your cord. I choose one of our stairways. It was a fairly dark space, and I knew the art would brighten it up! To fit our space, I did 3 rows of varying lengths. If you are doing one row on top of another that you need to leave room between the rows, both for the cord handing down, and for the artwork.
Tie the cord to the D-ring. If you can tie something fancy and cute, go for it. I can’t, so I just tied it in a regular knot.
Then use clothespins to hang up the art! We painted the clothespins to add in some more color. And just because it’s fun.
