The Readathon theme of Imagination presented a world of possibilities. I had so many ideas:
A picnic outside with stuffed animals? “Maybe later, Mommy.”
Imagine our own pretend world? “I don’t want to do that right now, Mommy.”
Make project with glitter! Create new animals! “Not right now, Mommy.”
So I stopped suggesting. As I watched him play, it struck me that the very last thing I needed to do was suggest projects that show his imagination. He had that covered.
(Readathon stats heading into Week 4 – over 4,300 meals donated to children, over 42,000 books read! Head over to Memetales for lots of fun imaginative play activities. )
