This recipe for edible Nutella playdough is a favorite around here! This is one of our favorite edible playdoughs – and it’s no bake! I not try to make it too frequently…because it really is yummy, and I can’t resist nibbling it while the kids play. (They nibble too. It is yummy!)
Edible Nutella Playdough Recipe
- 1/2 cup Nutella
- 6 tbl confectioner’s sugar (approximate)
- 1 tbl cocoa powder (we use unsweetened)
Mix 5 tablespoons of the confectioner’s sugar and the cocoa powder together, then add the Nutella. I start mixing with a spoon, but end up mixing it together with my hands. Then add in the remaining tablespoon of confectioner’s sugar.
I reserve 1 tablespoon of the sugar to make sure it’s necessary to prevent the playdough from becoming sticky. Usually it is, but sometimes a lot of the Nutella gets stuck in the measuring cup, and you don’t need quite as much sugar. Sometimes the playdough is really sticky, and I add even more confectioner’s sugar. I just keep mixing the dough until it’s no longer sticky.
And then the fun part – playing with it! Add it to cupcake lines, make it into candies, roll snowmen and snakes, cut it with dull plastic knives – play with it however you want! I will also give this to my kids along with some graham cracker bunnies or apple slices. They love making edible sculptures!
