Have you tried snow ice cream? Just a few ingredients and it adds a little more magic to a snowy day! The best part is they can do it all themselves!
How to Make Snow Ice Cream
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1tsp vanilla
- Freshly fallen snow
Lay out a pan to collect freshly fallen snow. Once you’ve collected a panful, mix the milk, sugar, and vanilla together in a bowl. Then add the snow! We used about 6 cups of freshly fallen snow. Stir to combine, and eat.
There are lots of people (including my mother) who wouldn’t want their kids eating ice cream snow. I don’t have a problem with it – when there is snow on the ground, my kids eat it all the time anyway. We use freshly fallen snow, that hasn’t been disturbed. I read up on it, and I was comfortable letting my kids have a small amount. But use your own judgment for what’s best for you.
