As a kid I made coupons to give my mother for many, many Mother’s Days! And birthdays. And Christmases. Coupons make great gifts from kids because they are things kids can actually do. Plus, who wouldn’t want a coupon for 1 free hug? Our sponsor, Blue Mountain, has made making coupons super simple with printable Mother’s Day coupon books.
We personalized the coupons by mounting them on artwork! You could decorate paper (I’d recommend card stock), but we used art that the kids had already created. We save our favorites, but with all the art the kids create, sometimes we need to find other uses for it!
I took large pieces of paper that had been painted, and cut long strips of about 5 inches by 11 inches. Once I had cut large strips, we glued the coupons onto them. Once the coupon were dry, we punched holes in the top left corner, and tied them together with yarn.
You could also just punch holes in the coupons on their own (again, I would recommend printing on card stock)
Blue Mountain members can print out any of their six printable coupon books. Right now they are offering a free 7 day trial membership, and then you can choose to pay a fee to be a monthly member ($3.99), yearly ($19.99), or buy a 2 year membership ($29.99).
Then just choose your coupon book! There are books for mom, grandma, or wife, and also Mother’s Day coupons for any mother you want to give a little extra love to! You an print out the coupons as they are, or there are options for personalization. There are also cards and coloring pages for Mother’s Day! It’s a great gift for any mom.
