Smoothies make healthy and delicious breakfasts and snacks! We’ve recently been making lots of smoothies – full of all the fresh berries available in the summer.
Our sponsor, alternaVites Kids, is partnering with us to bring you a tasty recipe full of summer fruit, and perfect for the 4th of July – a red, white, and blueberry smoothie!
Red, White, and Blueberry Smoothie Recipe
- RED: 10 strawberries
- WHITE: 1 cup greek yogurt
- BLUE: 1/2 cup blueberries (fresh or frozen)
- 1 packet alternaVites Kids
Throw everything in a smoothie and blend until creamy. That’s it! You can up the fun factor by topping the straw with blueberries and strawberries!
The alternaVites Kids packets come in 2 flavors: raspberry cotton candy and strawberry bubblegum. They are little packets of powder that dissolve in your mouth…or that work great in a smoothie or drink! You can get them at Harmon, Whole Foods, Fairway, and Wegmans, or check them out online.
Our pediatric dentist recommended alternaVites Kids, and we’ve been using them ever since (you should check with your own doctor or dentist). No added sugar, and they are both yummy and easy to combine in smoothies and other drinks!
