The holiday season is the perfect time to spread some kindness! It can be overwhelming to come up with ideas that work well for kids – things that they can actually do, and ideas where they can actually see the difference that they are making. Simple acts of kindness add up to make a big difference. And the best part? Spreading holiday kindness is FUN – and your kids are going to love doing it!
I’m thrilled to partner with UPS to spread holiday cheer and raise money for charity with their #WishesDelivered campaign.
Megan over at Coffee Cups & Crayons has been sharing holiday kindness ideas for years. It’s such an inspiration, and my wish is to make it easy to spread kindness this holiday season.
Here are some of Megan’s ideas:
Print out a kindness calendar for the month of December – there are lots of ideas kids will be able to do on their own, or at school!
Kids will love using these You’ve been RACK’d (Random Act of Kindness) cards…and handing them out as they spread kindness!
You know the traditional holiday countdown paper chain — Megan shows how to make a kindness countdown chain! (Plus she has a free printable for that, too!)
The beauty of these ideas is how simple they are. I love that many of the ideas are easy ones that can be incorporated into your child’s every day life. It helps to make kindness a part of their personality, gets them used to acting with kindness – and it will make the holidays so much more meaningful for them.
My #WishesDelivered is to spread more kindness! You can submit your wish on the UPS #WishesDelivered, or use #WishesDelivered on Twitter or Instagram. What’s your wish?UPS will donate $1 to one of their charity partners (Boys & Girls Club of America, World Food Programme, Toys for Tots Literacy Program, The Salvation Army, The UN Refugee Agency) up to $150K!
Join UPS to celebrate great people by posting your wish for good. You can also share your story about how someone you know (or you!) is making wishes come true on #WishesDelivered Site.
