This Star Wars art scene is a fun indoor activity – and making it is half the fun! We partnered with General Mills to bring you this fun art project and activity!
Painting is always fun – and with a few easy additions this painting can become a galaxy far, far away!
Make a Star Wars Art Scene
- Blank canvas
- Black paint
- Glow in the dark paint
- Star Wars Force Awakens decals (from specially marked boxes of General Mills cereal)
- paint brush
- glow in the dark stars
- something to affix the stars
To make the canvas look like a galaxy far, far way, paint the canvas black. Once it dries, add the stars. Use the glow in the dark paint to add more stars, planets, meteors, make the trails of shooting stars…anything that glows or shines in the night sky!
There are 6 different decals, showing favorites from both the dark and light side: R2-D2, C3PO, Chewbacca, BB-8, Kylo Ren, Captain Phasma, and Stormtrooper. We took turns playing with one (or more!) on the art scene. The decals are able to be repositioned and we like putting them on mirrors, walls, and windows!
And, of course, we played with the art scene while eating Cheerios, our favorite General Mills Big G cereal!
For a limited time, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Cookie Crisp, Cheerios, and Cheerios Multi Grain will include one of the 6 exclusive glow in the dark Star Wars: The Force Awakens decals.
